Jhalak Dikh Gayee
Though I have not been very keen TV enthusiast, yet I have been watching Jhalak Dikhla Jaa (Celebrity Dance Competition on Sony TV) religiously. Some reasons, it is a great show and I really enjoyed watching non-dancers shake a leg in front to some of the greatest professionals in the field.
This weeks results episode, was really interesting as one non dancer but hugely popular person was pitted against three brilliant performers. Ajay Jadeja is clearly a non-dancer compared to Mahesh, Mona and Shweta. As expected he could not make it to the semifinals of Jhalak Dikhala Jaa. But, the way he embraced the verdict of public and decision of judges, really showed his real charachter. It was one of the most memorable display of sportsmanship. Probably that is the reason, why he still enjoys such a huge fan following. Those who have seen the episode, must have got a lesson on how to handle failure gracefully and sportingly.
On contrary, previous week I saw Akashdip Sehgal, blabbering after not being promoted to last round. He left no stone unturned to demean himself in front of millions of viewers. Sorry Mr. Sehgal, you need a lot to learn and the first thing is to learn how to accept failure with dignity and grace, as no one wins all the games.
