A favourite of mine that no one has mentioned was the Paraag magazine. I would still love to get hold of the old issues.

Hi buddies…Champak Nandan Balhans Paraag Baal-Bharti Chanda-Mama Suman-Saurav Vigyan-Pragati Aavishkar Guriya Nanhe-Samrat…I have preserved these as my golden treasure…to gift to my kids when they grow up…(alas ! I m still unmarried !!)…remember Samudri Daku/Lutere by John O Hind in Suman Suarav ?…and Dekho Hans Na Dena & Cheeku in Champak ?…and Bruce Lee visheshank in Paraag ?…and Kapeesh in Bal-Bharti ?…and Vetaal Pachisi in Chanda-Mama ?…the list is endless…wont ever forget these…anyone out there wants to share these nostalgic names, plz write to me at amrish2177@rediffmail.com…thanx !

@ Alok.. right.. and the Junior James Bond and his Chachu.. were fantastic.. not to mention the Murkhistan (with its Statutory Warning.. akal ka istemaal karna kanoon jurm hai..), Nanhe Samrat is being published today as well (its part of the same group which publishes Cricket Samrat, the world’s largest selling cricket magazine..)

Wah mitra purani yaaden taaza kar di, I liked suman saurabh and Chandamama more. I think their was a magzine called Nanhe samrat too..

@Nitin .. You are right. Either it was Rajasthan Patrika or some similar kind of organisation.. Rajasthan State Publication Division.. what i remember that it was funded by some Govt. Body..

Balhans was(is) a publication of Rajasthan Patrika, not Rajasthan Government (i think)
